From October 31 to November 1, the 2025 Frontier Forum on Intelligent Media and Intelligent Marketing Communication and the 7th Academic Workshop on Intelligent Marketing Communication were successfully held at the School of Journalism and Communication, Wuhan University. The forum was jointly organized by the Committee on Media Economics and Management of the Chinese Association for History of Journalism and Communication, the School of Journalism and Communication of Wuhan University, the Center for Studies of Media Development of Wuhan University, and the Editorial Office of Journalism & Communication Review. Experts, scholars, industry professionals, and young students from more than twenty universities across the country shared cutting-edge research findings on intelligent media and intelligent marketing communication.
The keynote speech session focused on transformation in the media and marketing ecosystem driven by intelligent technologies. The academic workshop included four themed panel discussions, offering vibrant and insightful exchanges. The first panel centered on “Intelligent Marketing Communication and Computational Advertising.” The second panel focused on “Brand Communication and Media Transformation in the Era of Data Intelligence.” The third panel examined “Mediatized Society in the Era of Data Intelligence.” The fourth session featured a graduate student panel, where 20 doctoral and postgraduate students presented their academic work.
